USDC documentation

What is USDC?

Merit runs on stablecoins, specifically USDC on Base. It’s a fundamental architectural building block that allows us to pay globally, compliantly, instantly—and rapidly innovate on how GitHub repos get funded, all without touching user funds.

What is Base?

Base is a secure, low-cost Ethereum L2 (Layer 2) network. By using USDC on Base, Merit can offer instant, low-cost payments to developers around the world.

You can view the Merit Escrow contract on Base here.
