Merit Systems

Open Agentic Commerce

What Merit Systems builds

Merit Systems builds infrastructure for open agentic commerce: the discovery and payment rails that let AI agents find, evaluate, and pay for the APIs, data, and services they need over plain HTTP, with no accounts, API keys, or subscriptions.

We maintain the reference explorers and registries for the two leading agent payment standards, x402 (HTTP 402 micropayments on Base and Solana) and MPP (Machine Payments Protocol on Tempo), and build the wallets and tools that let any agent pay per call. Merit Systems, Inc. is headquartered in New York and builds in Brooklyn.

x402scan
Ecosystem explorer and registry for x402, the HTTP 402 micropayment standard. Indexes x402 servers, transactions, buyers, merchants and facilitators across Base and Solana, and exposes that data through a public API and an MCP server.
MPPscan
Ecosystem explorer and registry for MPP (Machine Payments Protocol), the agent-native payment standard on Tempo. Tracks protocol volume, registered services and resources, and lets you register MPP endpoints so agents can discover and pay for them.
AgentCash
MCP server and wallet that lets AI agents call payment-protected APIs with x402 micropayments. Fund one USDC balance, install the MCP server in Claude, Cursor or Codex, and the agent pays per call with no API keys.
Poncho
Consumer chat product that gives one person an agent with payments and tool access built in, powered by x402. Includes a SIWX-authenticated API for chats, resources and API keys.
